Olga Cano Mercedes, Medical Assistant, is a dedicated healthcare professional with a diverse background in the medical field and a strong commitment to helping people. Olga's extensive training and experience make her a valuable asset to the medical field.

Olga is a Patient Care Technician (PCT) Trainee with certifications in Electrocardiography (EKG) and Phlebotomy. She holds the title of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) as accredited by the state of Connecticut. Furthermore, Olga brings extensive experience as a Former Registered Nurse in the Dominican Republic, accumulating valuable practice in the medical field.

Olga's medical career journey began in the Dominican Republic where she began her nursing career in the ICU pediatric unit. She then served in a role at a medical equipment manufacturer, followed by a role as a Customer Service Representative in the lab at Danbury Hospital.

Olga's decision to venture into mental health stems from her genuine passion for helping people. She sees herself as a crucial link between individuals facing mental health challenges and the support they need. Her empathetic nature and desire to make a difference drove her towards this critical and rewarding field.

Olga is fluent in English and Spanish, which adds a valuable dimension to her role. Her eagerness to learn, attention to detail, strong teamwork skills, and openness to new challenges demonstrate her commitment to making a positive impact on mental health patient care. Olga is committed to contributing her best to support individuals facing mental health challenges, fostering an environment where seeking help is seen as a sign of strength.

Outside of work, Olga cherishes time with her two daughters and enjoys dining out, reading, and immersing herself in documentaries, particularly those based on real-life events.
